Week of September 3, 2009Aug. 24 - An Alina Lane woman's sarcasm brought her to the attention of Village police. She was arguing with USA Drugs over a bill and asked the representative, "What do you want me to do, commit suicide?" The representative alerted police there was a possible suicide in the Village. The woman got a good laugh out of the ridiculous situation. Aug. 25 - Officers escorted a Justice Brothers Recovery employee with permission to repossess a car to a Saldana Lane address. A Rebanar Lane man dialed 911 in error. Please stay on the line and let dispatch know there was an error in dialing or the police will come to your home to investigate. Police responded to this non-emergency. |
Week of August 26, 2009Aug. 17 - A Justa Via Way man said there was a treecutting service representative going door to door soliciting business. Officers stopped the man soliciting business and told him he was violating Village policy. Officers on patrol discovered a stop sign had been knocked down at Valencia Way and DeSoto Boulevard. Public works was notified. A Galleon Lane woman said she didn't notice the red light at the east gate entrance and just came right into the Village. She said she would pay attention to the light in the future. Tonya Klorik, age 42, was issued citations for no vehicle tags, no proof of registration and no liability insurance. The car was towed by Village Shell. Her car was parked in the DeSoto pool area when officers on patrol noticed the car's shortcomings. |
